Hospital Rooms : Future Fossils

Commissioned by Hospital Rooms for ‘Rosebud’ a mental health rehabilitation unit.

A project based around mental health and climate change.

I have been working with the idea of the ‘well you’ keeping the ‘unwell you’ safe for a while now. Trying to promote self agency, as generally i think the best person who really knows what keeps you well, and what can help recovery, is yourself.

Continuing my work with emotional weather I created a series of ‘Future Fossils’ – things which we can use to keep ourselves well – from hydrating, to sunscreen, aftersun, gloves, hats etc. Also i combined marine flags with environmental photos to make montages of ‘Nautical Flags’ which are designed to communicate what we need and how we are feeling.
